Sandra is direct student of Master Con Kassis (7th Dan), head of Shitoryu Karatedo Australia. She obtained her black belt after training in Venezuela for many years. Her most admired teacher there was Master Shoko Sato. While training in Venezuela she became an elite competitor, national champion in kata and member of the Venezuelan National Team for three consecutive years, from 1991 to 1994.
