Karate Dojo Kun

The code of conduct of Karate practitioners consists of five simple everyday rules to help guide the ethical martial artist. The karateka's code of behaviour or Dojo Kun reads:

• First and foremost: Seek perfection of character.

• First and foremost: Be loyal.
• 
First and foremost: Endeavour to excel.

• First and foremost: Respect others.
• 
First and foremost: Refrain from violent behaviour.
